Project Overview
Working with Jessie was like working with a kindred spirit. We are both so alike that the project floated from concept to fruition. She is one of those rare, beautiful and authentic creatives, creating beauty in the world by sourcing and selling second hand furniture, styling and staging beautiful period properties and homes.
All of the photography on the site are homes and properties that she designed and styled. This website is a great example of the photography doing a lot of the heavy lifting of the website. Project Elements
Branding
As a designer, Jessie had a very strong idea of her visual references and design ethics. This made it fun to find the colours and brand that resonated for her. I adore the logo we came up with for her, it was a combination of a text mark and a little font styling to create a unique monogram icon.
Website Design
Not all websites need to be full featured. All Jessie wanted and needed was a beautiful website that was easy to update and would link to her social media channels as that is where all of her work was displayed. Canva Websites were the perfect choice for this project as it was an interface and software that Jessie was already familiar with so it would be easy for her to edit and update. The finished website is a beautiful reflection of Jessie’s personality and design work.
